Mr. Mell is a mining executive and capital markets professional with extensive international transactional experience acquired through more than 200 transactions, including M&A and over $2.6 billion in equity and debt financings. After a career as a Bay Street lawyer, Trent worked for both global producers and junior miners and at all stages of the mining lifecycle, including exploration, feasibility studies, permitting, mine development and production. More recently, he built a securities team to advise issuers and investors on Canadian exploration and development opportunities. In 2016, his team raised $300 million in equity investments and became the largest provider of flow through capital in Canada. Trent is Chairman of the Board for the Boost Child and Youth Advocacy Centre, a world-renowned child abuse prevention and intervention centre. His leadership style is premised on empowering people, actively engaging with stakeholders and challenging the status quo. Mr. Mell previously served as President & Head of Mining at Peartree Securities (2015- 2017), President & CEO Falco Resources (2014-2015), Executive VP, Corporate Affairs, Aurico Gold Inc., Several Executive Positions at North American Palladium Ltd. Dr. Santaguida is a geoscientist with over 25 years of experience and he has worked around the world on a wide range of base and precious metal ore deposits, in which he designed, conducted, and managed exploration programs, field campaigns and research projects. His extensive experience in world-class base metal mining camps such as the Kidd Creek (Canada), Mt. Isa (Australia) and the African Copperbelt (Zambia-DRC) aligns with the Company’s strategy of building a geographically diversified portfolio of cobalt projects. He started his career with the Ontario Geological Survey before joining Falconbridge Limited (subsequently acquired by Xstrata), where he held various positions in near-mine to regional grassroots exploration and in operating mines in Canada and Australia. He subsequently joined First Quantum Minerals Limited and spent several years overseeing exploration in the Central African Copperbelt. As Principal Geologist for First Quantum, he had responsibility for global exploration project generation and property evaluations for cobalt, copper, nickel and PGE properties around the world. Among his many professional accomplishments, Dr. Santaguida was part of a team that discovered new resources at the Frontier Mine as well as new copper and cobalt prospects in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Mr. Campbell is a Professional Engineer with 35 years’ experience in mining operations, mineral exploration and capital markets. His mining experience includes working in day-to-day mining operations, mine design and on new mine developments for Falconbridge Limited (now Glencore), an industry leader in the cobalt industry. As Exploration Manager for Falconbridge, Peter was involved in its global exploration activities. In 2006, he moved to capital markets and earned a reputation as an astute mining analyst, eventually becoming Chairman of Jennings Capital, an independent Canadian broker-dealer. In his role as Vice President, Business Development, Mr. Campbell will focus on building a diversified global portfolio of assets leveraged to the cobalt industry and strive to make First Cobalt a leader and first mover in a market where quality assets are difficult to find.

Mr. Ma is a senior financial professional specializing in corporate financing, public company reporting and regulatory compliance in Canada and United States, strategic planning, financial management, and capital markets for the past 10 years. Kevin started his career as a chartered accountant with Deloitte LLP and has extensive experience in the industry within technology, natural resources exploration and mining, life sciences, and manufacturing for multi-national companies, both private and public corporate structures. Most recently, Mr. Ma served as Chief Financial Officer for a Gatekeeper Systems Inc., Canadian publicly listed industrial technology company, where he was instrumental in raising a significant amount of growth capital, while overseeing the entire financial operations, including materials planning and supply chain, public company reporting, regulatory and tax compliance, strategic planning and forecasting, capital markets, and investor relations. Prior to that, Mr. Ma served as Director of Finance for Alexco Resource Corp., a dual Canadian/US-listed mining company, where he played a key role in the development and operations of Canada’s only primary silver producing mine and assisted the company in securing equity and silver stream financing. Mr. Ma is a Chartered Accountant certified by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia, and holds a Diploma in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia.

Mr. Slusarchuk has significant international experience structuring, funding and operating companies involved in mineral exploration, development and production. In addition to experience operationally and in the conducting of equity raises, Mr. Slusarchuk has structured complex debt financing transactions in the United States, Canada and Europe with multiple top tier banks. This includes negotiating and securing the first ever funding of a mineral exploration company by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Mr. Slusarchuk is a past TEDx speaker on the topic of capital markets, was a senior advisor at a top tier Canadian brokerage firm, and is a member of multiple mining industry advocacy associations in emerging markets, through which he has regularly advised various governments on the formation of mining policy. He has experience on the Board of and as an officer of multiple publicly traded and private companies in Canada, the United States and Europe and was a founder of and is currently the President of K92 Mining, a gold producer in Papua New Guinea.

Mr. Phillips has 18 years of experience in the resource and energy sectors, much of which has involved working on large-scale resource and energy capital projects. From 2011 to present Mr. Phillips was employed in senior roles, including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, with Potash Ridge Corporation a junior resource company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. From 2009 to 2011, Mr. Phillips was Senior Manager, Financial Analytics and later Director of Business Development at Capital Power Corporation, one of Canada’s largest power generation companies. Prior to that time, from 2003 to 2009, Mr. Phillips held various senior roles at Sherritt International Corporation, a diversified resource company that produces thermal coal nickel, cobalt oil and electricity. Mr. Phillips has a Master of Arts in Resource Economics and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alberta and is a CFA Charter holder and CPA, CMA.

Mr. Reid has more than 10 years of experience with the oil and gas industry and international business. He has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Petrodorado Energy Ltd. (“Petrodorado”) since January 2016 and as its Chairman since 2016. Prior to this he served as the CFO of Petrodorado Energy Ltd. from February 2012 until January 2016. Mr. Reid is also a Director of Potash Ridge Corporation since June 2016. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Saint Francis Xavier University.

Mr. Swinoga brings an abundance of knowledge and experience from the mining and finance sectors. He is a senior executive with over twenty four years of experience in the mining and public finance industries. His experience includes successfully leading finance teams through the different stages of project financing, construction and into production. Mr. Swinoga is currently the CFO of Torex Gold where he led the $375 million project financing to build the $800 million ELG mine. He has served as Executive Vice President Finance & CFO of Golden Star Resources Ltd, Vice President Finance & CFO of North American Palladium, Vice President, Finance & CFO of HudBay Minerals Inc., and was Director, Treasury Finance of Barrick Gold Corporation for seven years. Mr. Swinoga previously served as a Director and Audit Committee Chairman of Tonbridge Power Inc. Mr. Swinoga is a Chartered Professional Accountant and also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Toronto and an Honours Economics degree from the University of Western Ontario.

Mr. Stalker is an international mining executive with 40 years of experience in mine development and operations in Europe, Africa and Australia. Mr. Stalker was the Chief Executive Officer of UraMin Inc., a London-listed and Toronto-listed uranium company, from July, 2005, until its $2.5B acquisition by Areva in August, 2007. Mr. Stalker was a vice-president of Gold Fields Ltd., the world’s fourth-largest gold producer, where he spent considerable time on the ground on its international operations. Mr. Stalker has worked his way up from operational roles in the base and precious metals arenas to executive positions in some of the largest mining companies in the world and has successfully managed eight mining projects through feasibility study, development and construction phases. Mr. Stalker has significant Cobalt experience and during his time on the Zambian copperbelt from 1973-1987, Mr. Stalker operated the country’s only dedicated Cobalt Process Plant and was involved in the design and construction of this plant, which is still in operation. Additionally, he was the Chief Executive Officer of the Luanshya Mine from 1999-2000, after its 1997 privatization, where the bulk of the Cobalt production from the Copperbelt was centered.
